As we get ready for that big year mark, let’s talk about another way to mark time.
A time signature is a set of numbers that comes before a piece of music. It tells us how to track the rhythm of the music. Most of us know c (common time) which is 4/4 time. It’s common time because it’s so popular and easy to understand.
What about a time signature like 7/4? Without an even number of beats in a measure, the rules change a little bit from 4/4. So in 7/4, how many beats does a half note get?
