LIONWHALE MUSIC’S FACULTY RECITAL TO BENEFIT
MONMOUTH UNIVERSITY MUSIC PROGRAM
LionWhale will be hosting our faculty recital on March 14, 2010 in the Wilson Hall Auditorium at Monmouth University. The event is free of charge, but we will be accepting donations to the Monmouth University Instrumental Music Department in loving memory of our good friend Rodney Herbert. The recital will begin at 2 p.m. and is open to all students and their families as well as the local community.

LionWhale Music offers multiple recitals every year as performance opportunities for its students and teachers.
Student Recitals currently take place twice a year. We hold a Spring Recital in early June, and a Winter Recital in December. Students are encouraged to perform pieces they’ve worked on in lessons, but are not required to participate. Performance is a vital piece of music education that helps to develop the musician, but also builds the students self-confidence and discipline.
Faculty recitals are scheduled at least once annually. They usually take place in March, giving our students and their families a chance to be strictly spectators. Teachers perform a wide variety of pieces from classical piano and opera all the way to jazz and classic rock. We feel it’s important for teachers to practice what they preach, and inform students about what their learning process is like. We also really enjoy getting together to have some fun and put on a good show!
